Dear Branches,
Does it feel like we are living in a weird twilight zone? I have written and rewritten this email four times now. The climate around COVID-19 is evolving quickly. What are we as Branches Church doing to grow together through this?
Most important, we will not have our main Sunday Gathering this Sunday, March 15th or next Sunday, March 22nd. This is the best way to decrease the spread of the coronavirus and best way to serve our city.
These Sundays if you are feeling well, we invite you to join us in getting the final touches done on our new building. It will be a smaller group and easy to keep distance. 10AM-1PM and we will provide lunch.
On Sunday, March 22nd, and going forward if need be, we will gather online. We will share details on how to do that next week. The decision to gather together again will be taken with great care.
Sunday, March 27th is Branches Church’s 4th Birthday!! It would also be our first week in our new location! As momentous as these celebrations are, and as much as we have been looking forward to them, your health and those around you is more important. We are brainstorming ways to celebrate in virtual togetherness if that’s the case.
Remember, growing together doesn’t stop. This is an important time to send an encouraging text or card. Make that phone call just to say hi when someone comes to your mind. Spend time in the Word. Pray for each other and lift each other up. The Gospel moves at the speed of relationship!
Send us your prayer request so we can join with you.
You can continue to give to Branches online, by texting or by mail.
Love you and praying that you are healthy. Be wise as we navigate the unprecedented new norm.
Growing Together,
Tim Oas
