We have all heard the famous story of the runaway prophet who disobeys God, gets swallowed by a “big fish”, somehow survives, then reluctantly obeys God...only to get angry with God in the end for being merciful.
Jonah's story can be difficult to believe. Did all of this really happen? Was Jonah a real person or a mythical character?
Whether we are skeptical of Jonah's story or remember loving it in Sunday School...Jonah’s instincts, worldview, and mercurial relationship with God have much to say about us and the world we live in.

Everyone is created in the image of God and worthy of love and respect. Yet we sometimes struggle to see others that way. “Image of God” unveils a powerful biblical understanding of human life, dignity, and worth, rooted in God's original design for our lives.
How do we view the "others" in our life? Those who are different than we are. Those we see the world differently than we do. Those with different religious, political and cultural views and practices than we have. How does the fact that they are created in the image and likeness of God impact the way we view them and treat them?
